Blast Resistant Shutters
Blast Protection for Critical Infrastructure and Hazard Zones
Developed in partnership with ABS Consulting (USA) and validated through full-scale shock tube testing, Gliderol® Blast Shutters are tested to mitigate explosions without generating debris. Two models available: PL1 (blast mitigating) and PL2 (blast resistant with automated anchoring).
Performance Levels:
- PL1: Withstands up to 75kPa pressure / 1050kPa-ms impulse
- PL2: Withstands up to 40kPa pressure / 500kPa-ms impulse
Design:
- Horizontal steel connector rods
- Vertically tethered curtain system to reduce deflection
- Certified by high-speed camera validation and FEA analysis
Applications: Refineries, military bases, explosive risk areas
